Cohen: The Future's Bright
Fri 22 May 2009
Chris Cohen is so confident the future is bright for Nottingham Forest he had no hesitation in pledging his long-term future to the club.
The midfielder, Forest's reigning 'Player of the Year', is now committed to the club until the summer of 2013 after he signed a new four-year contract.
The 22 year old put pen to paper earlier today as Forest manager Billy Davies completed his first close season signing.
Cohen told Forest World: "It was an easy decision for me to make. I still had two years left on my old contract but both myself and the club wanted to do something.
"I can only see the club going forward and I want to be a part of that.
"We're looking for progression - it may not happen straight away but I definitely think that we've got a fantastic chance of getting ourselves in the Premier League over the course of the four years I've signed for.
"That's the main reason I've signed. Everyone aspires to playing in the highest division and I really do believe I'll be able to do that with Forest."
