A late show by Nottingham Forest's reserves kept alive their hopes of securing the Totesport.com central division title.

A goal five minutes from time from Algerian Under 20 international Hamza Bencherif secured Forest a valuable victory over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.

Bencherif grabbed what proved to be the only goal of a game of few chances - although victory was no more than John Pemberton's men deserved.

Forest must now win their final game of the season - at Sheffield United next Wednesday - to keep alive their hopes of overhauling Shrewsbury at the top of the central division.
